Re: Diamonds, Dames, and Dads Part 2
Was good. SNOWMAN!!! WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE??? These are obviously new versions of the Midnight Crew right? What is going on with Midnight City? They keep referencing that its always midnight but maybe not really, and it feels like one of those things from early homestuck where the jokey game mecha...

Re: Wait a goddamn minute
Bringing this up after more thought. I am still rather suspicious here. Whatever equivalent to geneology we could reference for here, Both jude and tavros have buck teeth like Jane and Jade. Two teeth rather than the slightly dpery one. The problem is that the two tooth buck teef feature comes from ...

It has been ten thousand years!
Also seeing Calliope joke and laugh is rather... disturbing. Also its intersting that they are depicting her body as much smaller than anyone else's, fitting as that body is 16.

Re: Are there no doomed timelines in Candy?
>lots of words >snippety snap It seems that the state of the Candy timeline came from a combination of john's narrative breaking powers growing too much and, with no other explanation suitable, the biggest impact of a butterfly effect possible. A more in depth explanation without referring to PQ: J...

Re: Are there no doomed timelines in Candy?
But yea, that is the problem. Candy isn't a 'doomed timeline'. Basically its a paradox, a real one. Its why Calliope said the timeline was dangerous. A true doomed timeline would just dissolve. Candy won't because of john making it 'canon'. Despite how much of a contradiction it is. JADE: it was cr...

Re: Are there no doomed timelines in Candy?
Y'all forgetting that Candy is in and of itself a doomed timeline, kept stable (read: in existence) by Calliope's black hole. It's possible doomed timelines can lead to further deviations, but like, from a storytelling standpoint that hardly matters (unless you wanna go freaky). Also, doomed timeli...

Good news is that the patreon was charged. That probably means that they are back to work on it.

Re: Was Gameover heading to a Blackout?
>and Aranea knew something everyone else was not privy to I think assuming that somebody knows something that not even the reader knows about is kind of faulty. Like, we have no reason to believe that what Aranea did wasn't purely something she did to feel good about herself with a justification of...

Re: Was Gameover heading to a Blackout?
I don't think anything in PQ necessarily relates to how the comic operates proper, because it's basically just Fanfic World. It's AU fluff. It sorta does. Its why the reader at the end had to try and undo what he did. He was literally overwritting homestuck itself with his fanfic wold. So he isolat...

Was Gameover heading to a Blackout?
Okay. So from what pesterquest showed us, retcon powers can 100% create a paradox that destroys paradox space as we know it, known as a Black out. Of course we have no idea what a black out actually entails. Is it all gone or is it some in universe thing like the Void eating paradox space? Everythin...

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
Basically the presumption that act 3 will be the same scenario as act 2 has been is the presumption that act 2 Wasn't in development hell for at least a year if not a year and a half. I am not sure what's different now to make you so optimistic about act 3. WP hasn't proved itself to be a very reli...

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
You .... You do realize there is at least 2 other acts for hiveswap right? Not to mention a possible Hauntswitch series? An d more than likely, if they are done with hvieswap act 2 (which is in fact possible considering Aysha has recently claimed on her discord that it would have been out alreayd i...

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
My working hypothesis: development of hiveswap 2 has ended/is nearing it's end, thus hiveswap related contracts are ending/have ended and WP no longer needs patreon money to pay people with. So Hussie is pulling his "official contribution" out of hs2, which will probably cost them most patreon subs...

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
Hussie's no longer listed under Directors Emeritus in the credits at all, so whatever nebulous ties to the team he had seem to have been cut entirely. He is still listed as an art contributor but it is odd he isn't listed as Emeritus either now. If he truly wanted remove from it, and it seems unlik...

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
It's not so much that people are surprised that Hussie is "stepping down" so much as it's got a public shitshow going on that is more engaging and fun to talk about than HS2 itself. I can't help but feel that it is this, 100%. Not even mcuh of astepping down he is was hanging out on the stoop with ...

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
What the subject says. He's listed in Directors Emeritus alongside Kate Mitchell on the credits page. More than anything else, I'd say I'm curious. Does this mean Homestuck^2 is officially non-canon? What does this mean for the future of HS^2? Is this the beginning of a new pause? This is a strange...

Re: Homsetuck^2 hiatus extended to July
On one hand this is disappointing, but on the other hand if (good) changes are being made, then I guess I'll be willing to see how they drag this from dumpsterfire to less of that. Also, where are you getting the idea that Kate might be stepping out, I haven't heard anything about it. (Outside of t...
