Re: obligatory marble hornets thread
Habit was great in his TribeTwelve cameo but... I can't get over that ending, man! He just turned into the fucking Joker!

Re: obligatory marble hornets thread
Yeah, I've got to admit that I didn't like Habit too much. I liked some of the things that he did, such as the little pep talk he gave to the main character that it's not wrong to want to be human (because it's honestly pretty rare for you to see a fictional villain actually reassure the protagonist...

I went to a psychiatrist and got prescribed medication for my anxiety and depression disorders. I have renewed hope that it'll go up from here.

I don't think they're hypocrites. I just don't think the strategy they're using right now is all that good.

Re: My last thread!
Because hatred means apathy. Because hating something takes emotional effort. The fact we complain means we love Homestuck, and we have loved Homestuck for a very long time. If I didn't like Homestuck, I wouldn't be here. And if I didn't like Homestuck, I wouldn't bother to criticize it. You critici...

Re: Unpopular Opinions Thread
Something that probably nobody cares about but that really gets under my skin is how the first batch of kids and trolls are 13. Not that I have a problem with 13 year old protagonists, but they act like they're way older. Heck, they're more mature, talented, and emotionally stable than many adults ...

Re: Should canon be dencetralized and what is canon?
If Hussie hadn't stated that he wants canon to not be a thing that exists anymore, I'd have said no. Homestuck is a comic that benefits from having an authoritative voice and that was the way I preferred things to be. However, if someone says they want to do something, I'd rather they actually put e...

It was certainly my introduction to Slenderman and I still like it, but I think I've come to prefer TribeTwelve over the years.

Re: Trans Reveals and Gender Parity
That is kinda because slenderman doesn't have story at its center. Scp foundation, creepy pastas, touhou and other such things a basically Concepts and settings rather than a story that has been told already. Homestuck of course has potential for that kinda shenanigans but the reality is it has a c...

Re: Trans Reveals and Gender Parity
Decentralizing it would just turn it all into a confused hellhole of conflicting opinions and views and people fighting over what is the proper canon. It would be a shitshow and a horrible idea. BECAUSE there is a centralized story as is. You would be surprised at how stable communities with a dece...

Re: Rose has the easiest to understand arc of all the Homestuck characters
"People don't have arcs" Probably the stupidest line in the entire comic. Yes, Hussie, people don't have character arcs. But they do have issues . They have to develop their self-awareness, they have to realize that they have unhealthy behaviors that must be corrected, and learn to cope with and mo...

Re: Trans Reveals and Gender Parity
If I'll be honest here, the problem doesn't lie with characters being called trans exactly, at least not personally for me. It's due to how shoddily Homestuck actually handles 'canon', despite desiring that word to be devoid of meaning. I know it's possible, because the SCP Foundation did it, but th...

Re: Trans Reveals and Gender Parity
Wait... Now I can't tell if we're talking about Homestuck or Pesterquest. Up until now I had assumed both lines had come from the former. Pesterquest, the implications are contained mostly therein. I sincerely doubt Hussie wrote Vriska intending her to be trans, considering the background of when A...

Re: Unpopular Opinions Thread
Unpopular opinion but I see this every time there's an update but I think it's good that the comic is vague about what classpects are or what they do because it theoretically allows the writer(s) to use basic ideas like witch/maid/knight/etc of time/mind/blood/etc and use them in interesting or sur...

Re: Chapter 3 is out my dudes
Dave is clearly full of shit. Karkat is bragging about how great everything is, without realizing how terrible Jane is for Earth. Jade isn't even a character. Roxy is out of it. Kanaya is Rose. Jade being robbed of any and all agency as a person has been a thing since her character was introduced, ...

Re: What're you listening to? [Music Recs/Chart Sharing]
I've been on this kick of weird synth-y Japanese dnb sounding music that is technically called electro/dance music but doesn't feel like it. Stuff like Machine Girl, and SewerSlvt. It's got this really weird feeling about it, like you're simultaneously on sedatives and stimulants. I super recommend...
