Re: Are there no doomed timelines in Candy?
But yea, that is the problem. Candy isn't a 'doomed timeline'. Basically its a paradox, a real one. Its why Calliope said the timeline was dangerous. A true doomed timeline would just dissolve. Candy won't because of john making it 'canon'. Despite how much of a contradiction it is. JADE: it was cr...

Re: Are there no doomed timelines in Candy?
Y'all forgetting that Candy is in and of itself a doomed timeline, kept stable (read: in existence) by Calliope's black hole. It's possible doomed timelines can lead to further deviations, but like, from a storytelling standpoint that hardly matters (unless you wanna go freaky). Also, doomed timelin...

Re: Was Gameover heading to a Blackout?
The static effect was used in pesterquest too. Thing about a story, as a guy who is inspired to make one, is that you can completely recontextualize an incident. Think hussie did that a lot actually. I am not going to talk about other stuff as that's a conversation I have my thoughts on and don't w...

Granted, but it's too good for anyone to understand so they all think its bad (but at least YOU can appreciate it ((heaven forbid you say you like it though))) I wish to be able to swim through land and sicken the healthy Granted. As you swim through land, you are a lot more likely to fall sick as ...

I don't understand how this works. I do the roll, I click on "place inline", and it comes up only as "1d20" text.

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
Basically the presumption that act 3 will be the same scenario as act 2 has been is the presumption that act 2 Wasn't in development hell for at least a year if not a year and a half. I am not sure what's different now to make you so optimistic about act 3. WP hasn't proved itself to be a very reli...

You .... You do realize there is at least 2 other acts for hiveswap right? Not to mention a possible Hauntswitch series? An d more than likely, if they are done with hvieswap act 2 (which is in fact possible considering Aysha has recently claimed on her discord that it would have been out alreayd i...

Would help if any information was available literally anywhere else. Otherwise I don't see the point in not quoting/complaining about quoting.mspainadventures wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 5:17 pmI think it might be a good idea to collectively stop quoting aysha's discord. I get the feeling it frustrates them.

Re: Andrew Hussie Stepping Down as Director of Homestuck^2
My working hypothesis: development of hiveswap 2 has ended/is nearing it's end, thus hiveswap related contracts are ending/have ended and WP no longer needs patreon money to pay people with. So Hussie is pulling his "official contribution" out of hs2, which will probably cost them most patreon subs...

So The Game/Skaia realizes that "oh damn, this is happening way too early, the players won't have any chance to win now... better use plan B, hey WV your farm is now destroyed, go delay the Black King by uniting a large portion of both armies against him. I hope you mean "oh damn, this is gonna hap...
