What was your primary fandom pre-homestuck?

I was(and probably still am) really into the Ace Combat fandom, really friendly people all around in that one.
And then maybe I would dip into the Devil May Cry, Battlefield Series, Souls games series and Space Station 13 communities sometimes

Though honestly I would never consider myself "active" in these because I would very rarely make fan content, just discuss stuff with fans and talk about game mechanics, builds and new stuff that would come out soon. though that's probably still the case since I dont draw anything anyways lmao

It's a weird answer, but...The Runaway Guys and their pals on YT and Twitch? I watch Chuggaaconroy and ProtonJon's content regularly on their respective platforms and in their collab channel with NCS among others. It's somewhat healthy, but the YT comments on TRG's videos can be a mess. I hang in Jon's Discord more often. If we're talking media, I guess there's multiple, though my interactions aren't really big around those.

I don't really think I got into HS through them (heck, I don't think they've read HS though a couple of Jon's stream mods have), I sorta came on for the trolls myself one day. I forget how specifically I decided on doing that, though.

Primarily science fiction and video games, both of which I'm still into.

Got hooked on the former with episodes of classic Doctor Who that my family had recorded off TV way back when, and for the latter it was stuff like Raptor: Call of the Shadows, Command & Conquer, and Duke Nukem.

There's one particular game that's got some dialogue that I will always find memorable, though:

"Cryo-trays loaded and secured. Hyperspace module fully charged.
"...There's nothing left for us here. Let's go."

It's from the end of the third mission in Homeworld.

danganronpa was a big one for me around 2013 ... (and still is) but since i only got into homestuck in 2019, i think around that time i was really into deltarune? to be honest i don't remember specifically when i was into things just what they were. i was and am a big sonic fan? i dunno if my fandoms ever really go away they get added to the pile. homestuck is just at the top right now

Warrior cats, I had dipped into various other books and such like PJO, and ect. But none of them really stuck to me like warrior cats did, and then homestuck hit me hard.

I was also into pokemon as well at the time, but i was far more into warrior cats than that too.

EDIT: OH! Hetalia , Ranma 1/2, fruit baskets, and tokyo mew mew too! I was just into animes like That.

I still look at Hetalia wistfully sometimes...I have my flying mint bunny plush around here somewhere... <-<;;

Mine was Digimon (been a fan since age 7 but I haven't watched since 2015 or so)
One Piece as well (kinda currently keeping up still, got back into it a year ago for the first time since Punk Hazard)
And MLP (watched first three seasons of FiM but honestly this was like my "fandom before homestuck" lmao y'all kinda absorbed me outta bronydom what can I say)

Idk why I keep coming back to Homestuck but I'm on it pretty heavy rn. Still haven't finished the epilogues though xD

closest thing to being active in a fandom was steven universe. dont like looking back on that experience though. took me awhile but i got into MSPFA and amphibia fandom around the start of this year.
