What was your primary fandom pre-homestuck?

Warrior Cats, then MLP:FiM. I dabbled in a few communities for other series, but MLP and Homestuck have been the only times I've wanted to keep up with the conversations and art and ideas surrounding it. Warriors I was mostly into because it was an easier way for me to make friends at the time.

Ah, I see you are a human of culture. I too watched the horse show at one point, in ages long past. Then I got into Steven Universe for a few years, and then Fullmetal Alchemist. (watch FMA: Brotherhood. do it. it is good.)
And now I am here. Why has my road lead to this? This place of suffering? I can never be satisfied. Not while Homestuck is still running. Yet I stay. Why do I stay?

I'm not entirely sure what pre-2011 fandom I was into (I think Black Butler and Kingdom Hearts?), but during the few years of the pause/when I took my break from Homestuck, from about 2013-2016-ish, I was super into WTNV!

It's hard to remember desu, even though it was only in like... 2017. I was in several fandoms but getting really tired of all of them when a friend recommended Homestuck. I think Overwatch, Star Wars, and Steven Universe were my main ones at the time, plus a few superhero TV shows.

Weirdly enough, megaman battle network. Despite not having really played that much of any of them. There is/was a fangame for it called chronox, and this fangame had a forum, used largely for RP. That place was basically my internet home for a good few years.

Kingdom Hearts was/is my big media thing I kept myself latched to, ever since I played it in middle school back when the games were coming out. The other strong presence has been FIM, I love the pony show and I'm sad it's over.

i think the closest thing i ever came to being in, in terms of fanomd, was pokemon, which was something i'd been into quite intensely for a long time pre-homestuck. i wouldn't say i was in the pokemon fandom, though. it was moreso something that i enjoyed copiously but never really did anything with.

Pre-HS I wasn't really in any fandoms, unless sports is something you'd call one. The HS fandom did a lot for me, and I'd say defined an important amount of things that have changed the direction my life's going, like starting to create music.

I'm still down with sports though you can't really remove it from me.

honestly going back to watch some of the old shorts has kinda just left me with a feeling of "huh their content was always kinda trash wasn't it"
except back then it was like six dudes in an office building as opposed to deadass like 300 people so they had an excuse

the old Achievement HORSE and FOTW vids I still get nostalgic for though

I actually think Homestuck may have been my first fandom. Either that or Adventure Time, I got into both of them around the same time. Before Homestuck, I wasn't really into fiction.

I used to be REALLY into Undertale. Back in around 2016-2017 I had an Instagram account called "Smellslikebones" where I acted like, roleplayed as, and just generally interacted with the community as Papyrus. I got up to 2,000 followers before the whole thing came crashing down on me, since I was only 13 and emotions/drama was at an all time high in my life. I still like Undertale, and I think it's an exceptional game, it's just not my Main Thing anymore like Homestuck is.

I was never really much of a fandom guy, but I guess before HS/MSPFA I was most notably part of the Super Mario World hacking fandom? Might be a slight stretch to refer to it that way, but eh.

I might go back to that one of these days, actually. It was a lot of fun.

I guess danganronpa. I was totally into it, until the DR3 anime just completely turned me off of it. As it stands, I'll still play the games but, I don't have nearly the same passion and fervor that I had before for it.
