Help Guide my Fanfic

Earlier today I posted about my new fanfic, Critical Failure in the fanfiction thread. What I didn't mention is that this fic is supposed to have audience participation.
You see, with my previous fanfics, I mostly got comments within 12 hours of posting the first chapter. What I didn't take into account was the fact that those were all fics focusing on canon characters, usually with prominent ships. This, on the other hand, is a plot-driven OC story, so instead of letting that audience participation come to me, I'm going to ask for it directly.
Criticism and praise are gladly accepted, but if you decide to read Critical Failure, what I'd really be interested in knowing is:
What interested you?
What do you think is going on in the bigger picture?
Which character do you like the most?
Does something confuse you, or do you think something is a red herring?
These kinds of topics will help me know what people want to see, what people don't expect, and of course, how I can best alienate my audience.
