disco elysium is unironically one of the best games in the decade, and i might even go far as to say it's one of the best games ever made, and you should definitely play it.

Been hearing some good things about it lately, what's your favourite aspect of the game?

In no particular order:

Thought Cabinet texts.
Skills arguing with each other.
The atmosphere of Martinaise mirroring detective's mental state of a barely salvageable wreck.
Art style, especially Encyclopedia chiming in with not necessarily relevant trivia. Can personally relate.
Kim's reactions to your antics. Seriously, the man earned his halo.
The fact that failing a red (non-repeatable) check is sometimes not capital H-Horrible. Heck, it might as well be preferable to succeeding.
The entire last dream, especially if you try to nope out immediately.

Disco Elysium is unironically the best game I've played in the last...five years? At least in terms of impact and writing desu. The art style, the skills and their dialogue, some of the absolutely batty things the detective can do if you fail or succeed the right checks. God.

disco elysium is commie as shit and thus it is good, the creators thanked marx and engels at the game awards
