Beeesidesss egbert I do enjoy characters such as the dirk splinters (Main timeline dirk, brobot (not sure if he countsi just think hes cool), Hal, and bro) I think they're very interesting especially when it comes to a character analysis view. Viewing dirk through his splinters (esp bro) I think is a key part to understanding both dirk and said splinters. viewing them both thru the lense of each other is rlly fun imo its like a puzzle that gets very very confusing very very quickly. I say specifically bro becuase you can clearly see both of thier differences and similarities. MOst notably their influences and how dirk said he can see how he couldve became someone similar to bro if left unchecked, and something similar happens in Post canon.

i also enjoy caliborn but this may be influenced bc of the connection to strider shenanagins.

gamzee is the best troll bar none. lot to love there. its fun to see a character who so many of the fandom itself wouldnt know what to do with IRL. you get tons of people saying how theyd interact or wanna hang out with other characters all the time but a POC coded social degenerate is just not in the wheelhouse of every lame white skinned nerd i interact with in this fandom, if youve ever seen a pasty annoying highschool kid get bullied by the brown kids for being uptight when compared to them then you know what i mean. caliborns also up there because that is who homestuck was probably originally intended for, the edgy 4chan kind of person. pure accident the tumblr crowd got to it!

jake is SOOO underrated !!! i feel like he's really slept on, but in the same way tavros is where they're seen as irrelevant (yet being completely the opposite), probably something to do with the shared page class 0_0... jake is sooooo fascinating and an analytical dual hellscape and cloudy heaven.... one of the best! a silly little guy most of all.
