All the backgrounds have been so beautiful and good so far, the sprites are also equally as good to look at. Props to the artist(s)/art team.

A fun thing we're doing for Befriendus is the inclusion of SCORPINA'S JOURNAL: 12 short chapters chronicling the tales of the Beforan ancestors. Making a new friend grants you a chapter, but you'll have to find the the journal itself first!

Scorpina's journal is an entirely optional setpiece and has no real narrative impact on the core game, so if ancestors aren't your thing, you don't need to worry about keeping up!

I'm super jazzed to learn more about the Beforus Ancestors actually, and especially since we're following Ancestor!Vriska it'd be cool to see what kind of person she grows to be without all of those key backstory elements from growing up on Alternia.

I'm super pleased to let you all know that we've implemented accessibility features like turning quirks and text colours off! Mituna's quirk is a very good way to show this off. Everybody give Gio a HUGE round of applause.




It also applies to history, for anybody wondering.


We also let you know about the Ren'Py "Additional Accessibility" menu where you can change/scale fonts and line spacing, which is really cool.

(we're still working on the game so some things are obviously subject to change based on bugtesting and such but this is where we're at right now and it's awesome)

I'll probably personally use that on Kankri and Mituna's route, no offense to their quirks they are just nearly unreadable to me
