Profiles are stored locally in appdata, you just gotta move a profile from one to the other to get your setting imported.

As for potential lock-outs, are you signed in simultaneously on another computer? because only one instance of a handle can be online at a time. Only other explanation I can think of would be nickserv stuff or weird server sticky stuff that would normally go away after like, a few minutes.

Not to sound alarmed, but pesterchum ends tomorrow. Are there new servers and how do I connect to them?

linked to this earlier, an updated version of pesterchum with an alternate server to connect to. It was updated literally 3 hours ago so it's probably safe to say that it's still being actively supported.

What would I need to do to my current pesterchum to connect to the new server? What files would I need to change and how?

Thankfully you won't need to do anything special, from what I can tell, it can find the old files just fine. I'd suggest making a desktop shortcut of the new launcher though.
Managed to get booted off the server when it was turned off tonight, gonna miss being on the mindfang server. It was nice while it lasted. I decided to spend the last minutes outside screaming in the rain with my mom so I didn't get to see the exact moment that it got shut down, but I did see the refusal message when I went back inside 13 minutes later.

All of your tags, quirks and pesterlogs will remain the same. These are stored in your AppData folder, and the new version of Pesterchum utilizes the same filepaths. So there's no need to worry!

Ive been having an issue connecting to the irc.mindfang.org (official) server, but i can connect to the other without issue. I keep getting error 10060. Ive tried reloading, tried reinstalling, anything i can think of. Im not quite sure what to do about it

The official server shut down last night at midnight. You won't be able to reconnect to it.

hi, i'm pretty new on this forum, i used to be on the OG MSPA forums looking at the themes thread. i managed to get pesterchum working perfectly fine - my OOC handle is sheepyPeepy (and my IC fantroll handle is anaglyphicAdvent).

i was wondering, though, does anyone here have an archive of a bunch of the themes from that thread? i remember i found an install of pesterchum from a few years ago that had it, but it appears to have disappeared from the face of the internet.

Hello! I have created my own fork of Dpeta's work(which hopefully will just be folded into the main) which allows you access to both pesterchum.xyz, as well as my own server, Havoc! You can check it out here! https://github.com/AstoriaFloyd/pesterchum-alt-servers it works on linux, as well as windows! all you need to do is run pesterchum with python2, pygame, and pyqt4 installed!

I really feel like a manual server type-in section thing would be the most sustainable in this case. That way new versions of the program don't need to be distributed just to access servers that may or may not even be around tomorrow. Maybe with a list of previously (and successfully) accessed servers for easy re-entry would go well with that. I'm not one much for python (Python's enforced whitespace control is painful to work with, and that was just trying to configure a custom advanced quirk @ _@) so I'm not sure how difficult this would be however.

for me, pesterchum just gave me a prompt to create a profile when i first opened it. i wouldn't personally know what to do but for some reason pesterchum did something different every time i tried to start it up the first time. maybe just... open and reopen a bunch until it gives you a profile prompt?
