The one thing that irks me about this is how preachy people on twitter got about it. I've seen stuff like "if you don't support the June headcanon you're an awful person and you're canceled" shit over there and all this aggressiveness made me dislike it quite a bit :/
I don't have any problem with the concept. It's a fun way to interpret the character and their struggles in the epilogue and I'm always in for new ways to analyze characters.

The lesson from this experience is don't shove your opinions on people's faces as undeniable truth

I usually try to say my "every character is trans" thing in the most hyperbolic way I can think of to make it clear that I'm joking, but desu if you give me a character odds are that I do actually have a trans headcanon for them.

Frankly they were just using the card "not accepting June means you're transphobic bye bitch" which is not the case at all for some people?
A trans friend of mine actually really didn't like the June headcanon, he thinks of it as poor/shallow representation, and it's a topic I'm not gonna go into here bc that's not what the thread is for; Junescourse can make people say some pretty nasty things.

Leprechaun romance is exclusively homosexual - and that combined with the fact that all leprechauns in the comic appear to be male strongly implies that their society has only a single gender. Therefore, they'd all be technically "non-binary."
Transgender and cisgender can't really mean anything outside of a society with a concept of more than one gender. But if you dropped Sawbuck into the human world, there's no way he'd have the same relationship to gender as any cis person, whereas he'd be welcome in most trans spaces specifically because of that
