The official Hiveswap Kickstarter has posted a new update for backers involving information about the game's development.

Since this is technically under a Patreon only post, otherwise known as not released to the public, I believe it to be unwise to have it posted here.

You are free to keep your copy saved and others are free to search for this pastebin, of course, but until it is public I think it is possible direct links (except to the patreon post) may cause issues being that it is "not so public" info being shared.

Yeah. The statement seemed to be rushed out pretty quickly though. Maybe they'll release a more put-together statement later? I only read half of the post. I don't know if the statement itself is any good or what. But I imagine they'd probably take a few days to build a real final public statement

I don't know, it seems like they just got worried that the Gio claims were about to spread to more people and wanted to dampen the incoming fire before it got too hot.

I'm actually pretty optimistic about Act 3. Surely we're over the worse of the development hell. Once Covid dies down, I'm hoping that they'll be working on it at a steady pace.

I think they were legally able to divulge this to kickstarter backers because they were part of the project's funding, but it's possible they couldn't have made this public on their own. They can't even namedrop the companies they're talking about, even though everyone knows who they are, and they know we know.

I was able to read the entire thing, it's not exactly barebones, but it's not the best either.

But still, even if it's not the best statement in the entire world, the video is still out there, showing off this information from the other side, which if it was really as a big of a deal as they seem to think it is, you'd really think they'd release a statement out to the public. Or hell even say that some false information has been floating around and a statement is coming? Instead of releasing something on pateron only?
