Can you guys please tell me which one of my ships are rarepairs? I'm confused.

Okay, let me break it down...

Rosemary is omnipresent. The majority of people who care about HS ship it in one way or another. Some don't care, either of boredom or other enlightenment. (Hehe.) Same for Meowrails.

Mom/Dad is in that weird place where almost everyone says "oh yeah" but if and only if asked about them.

Fefnep, Davejade (mentioned twice), Roxygen, Dirkborn, Jadepeta, Jadekat, Roxycal (mostly more flushed tho), black Erisol, Cronkri (i'll sooner find a toblerone stick than understand why people like it desu), Arasol, Johnvris are quite common: most communities will be able to sustain a convo about one of those.

Katnep is an uncommon ship nowadays, but I wouldn't call it a rarepair at all although Karkat ships that don't involve Dave are a protected species in these times. Same goes for Gamkar and Karezi (sheds a single tear of liquid black sorrow).

Solnep, Vriskan, Meenkat, Meuruss, Slickpaint seem to be uncommon: people like them, but these people are not really omnipresent.

Red Karnaya is a v rare ship on the "Kanaya isn't into dudes" grounds. Ditto for Dirkmeu and Dirkroxy (although see below)

I... haven't actually seen anyone seriously into Dirk/Kanaya.

Same almost goes for grimdorks because "what flavour of wlw Rose is" disk horse is like death and taxes.

Prospitcest (which you have twice) and dersecest are quite a taboo subject in a lot of places just like leijoncest (also mentioned twice), uucest (really?), Dirk/Roxy (for reasons different from other Dirk/F ships) and John/Mom.

Jakeradia, Jakepeta, Johnmeen, Davenep, Dirkmeen, Jaderadia, Davejane, Damkri, Dirkat, Meukri (my rarepair of a choice), Johnnep all seem to be rank-and-file rarepairs where you have heard about like five or six people who are into them.

The rest...I don't think I have seen those before like at all.

I was thinking of this last night, and I'm not quite sure if it's that rare or not, but Feferi <3< Trizza (Which I have taken to calling Royal Pitch), subsequently, you can have them be flushed, as Royal Flush is a much better ship name

Oh! I think that's just John and Aradia, with John in a different outfit for variety's sake. There are lots of alt outfits in there, just not many so different from the default.

And on the next note Slick and Snowman seem to be the pairing you mentioned, and that one is not at all a rarepair among the Intermission communities I've engaged with.

I'm also team grimdorks but I'm quite lowkey about it.

Slick/Snowman... yeah I see it, it's just that I don't hang around the Intermission communities that much so my perceptions might be biased against it being prevalent in some specific places.

A friend weirdly got me into the idea of SolDirk, where two snarky, computer assholes just deal with each other. Same with Dirkkri, but mainly the snark. And I don't even like Kankri that much, lol!

Otherwise, another friend has brought me over to the dark side of shipping Equius with. A lot of characters. EquiGamTav? Amazing. EquiKat? Stunning. Solquius? Hell yes.

Apart from that I'm a huge fan of AraFef, Fefnep, or just all three shoved together! Let these girls have some healthy redrom relationships! Neprezi is also amazing, but I don't think it's too rare. Pormara could have been really really nice, JaneRezi is an absolutely gorgeous idea. One day I will write a noir-style fic of the two of them. Not now, but one day.

Grimdorks and Karezi are the two ships that I've kept on the down low a lot ever since Act 6 started. Feel like they were a bit more common back then, but maybe I'm just misremembering.

You’re not crazy, Grimdorks and Karezi were definitely well-crafted relationships between two characters who clearly cared about one another. That’s prime material for an engaging romance. Unfortunately for my little heart neither of them happened.

Still, grimdorks is extremely meaningful to me and I will never stop shipping it. I won’t aggressively super-ship it because I’m just not motivated very much to spite The Mainstream, but I will never let it go because I love them and they’re mine now.
