I'm a big fan of constantly crafting Machiavellian plots and schemes and being a villain in various games

Gurren Lagann is an anime with some really good character design and a great story.

However.

One character in particular gets the brunt of the fanservice shots. Her name is Yoko, and pre-timeskip, she's in her mid-teens.
Besides the obvious "oh god she's a child why director", I find this to be annoying because Yoko is a great character and the most tolerable of the main three when they're first introduced. But the camera just has to be up her pants/shirt every five seconds, because female. Have I mentioned that she's a child?

And then one of the other major characters, Nia, has some upskirt shots during the beach episode. Nia is thirteen before the timeskip.

No. No, no. I like women, but this is not entertaining. It is creepy.

I love Gurren Lagann to death, but I'm aways super uncomfortable when that kind of stuff happens. And that is why I will never reveal that I like it to my family.

At the risk of sounding pretentious it's a very uniquely British thing, being inspired chiefly by 2000AD and Moorcock and all, and I feel that the community has done no favours cultivating a fanbase who just want to shitpost about LE HERESY!!!111!!1!, but luckily those seem to just be a vocal minority.
