whats a homestuck ship you dont like?
For me it's Vriska x John. It just didnt last long enough or had enough interactions for be considered a ship for me. It may just be me though-- because I just really don't like ships with Vriska in it. I think they just end up with Vriska ending them anyway. I know some people ship Meenah X Vriska and it isn't as bad? But Vriska isn't really a character I like being in ships because of how problematic she is sometimes.

Oh, this thread will be on fire won't it.
Dirkjake (prepares to get killed by hammers)
Honestly, I just feel like they kind of suck for eachother romantically. Their relationship is interesting and I really enjoyed some of the stuff going on with Dirk and Jake in candy, but for the most part it just dips into a zone that's too uncomfortable for me to enjoy whatsoever. I don't mind it being in Homestuck or a part of fanworks. I'm a HUGE fan of the Smuppet Show! Go watch it!! Please!! It's a very good movie and I can never recommend it to ANYONE because on top of being a fan film, it's also focused on postcanon! The audience is very niche!!! It's SO FREAKING GOOD!
Honestly, I think that the epilogues pushed Dirkjake from being a ship I sort of didn't like into something I really don't like seeing. It both ruined it for me and also made it so much more interesting. I like Dirkjake, but I really dislike seeing works about it where they have a happy ending or it's just a cute fluffy time. It just feels icky and uncomfortable to me.
So I guess I sort of enjoy Dirkjake, but only if everyone is having a miserable time and it's less about their relationship and more about the individuals.
I'm also not a huge fan of Rosemary. *dodges rotten tomato* I mean, it was cute! I had fun watching them get together. They definitely have some nice chemistry! I just... Got bored... I think if I had been reading Homestuck during its original run, I would have been a bigger fan of Rosemary. That being said, they kind of just flop around and flirt for a while and then they kiss. Neat. They just don't do much in Homestuck.
I do like what Beyond Canon is doing currently with them. It's a neat perspective on Rose's characterization and I like the idea that she would sabatoge her relationship so that Kanaya doesn't miss her when she dies. Especially because now she's going to live and her relationship is in shambles! Now THAT'S interesting stuff. It's still not really a ship I like persay, but I think Rosemary can be written in an interesting way.
I saw a couple people above mention Vriska and John. That's a ship I really like! I'm not particularly interested in seeing them get together, but I think their relationship (friendship and maybe-romantic) is really sad. I love the scene where John confronts Vriska. He spends so long listening to her and not calling out her violent actions even though they are worrying and freak him out. She does a really good job of framing it as just a troll thing, and John, being a kid, figures that it must be normal for trolls. I love the moment where he confronts her and calls her out because he finally realizes that it's barely even a troll thing, it's just Vriska being incredibly messed up. Vriska hears it and she listens to John because she cares about him and takes him seriously. I really enjoy their whole deal.

I think Vriska and John are a great ship. I can feel their chemistry through the screen. Is it true that the idea of Vriska having a partner is... Nepeta x Equius I can't imagine them doing romantic things just as friends
Also ships between relatives are not uncommon.... Very rare
