assuming we're dodging the most likely answer "nothing would happen since a kernel requires data and the kernel itself represents a space empty of data", then I guess the underlings and carapacian royalty would just get the ability to prototype an extra datum (two?) into themselves individually. the sprite itself probably wouldn't change much since an empty space inside an empty space is still just an empty space: think of it as (()) as opposed to just ().
