Re: Last Post Wins
Once again, the forum has been abandoned by the people who thought they could revive it, and once again I am here to make the last post in this thread and possibly of the entire forum. So let's set the record straight:
Homestuck died in its final page. This isn't me gen-wunning the franchise or being bitter over The Epilogues or Homestuck^2 or Beyond Canon or whatever Secret Fourth Thing the franchise will shit out when BC loses whatever traction it has left-
This is fact. Fact confirmed by Hussie, and the new writers in their attempt to separate new content from the old. Shed the skin of the old age and spread its wings as something prominently itself.
Homestuck, however, is an incorrigible little thing that can't even die right, occasionally making the briefest of breaths and rarest of heartbeats to remind you "Hey! Hey! This franchise is still here!"
Though try as it might, it can't crawl out from its tomb. It can't be dragged out, either (this is me genwunning. They cannot bring the old Homestuck back or make me think the new one is just as good.)
I spent a lot of time on this forum bitching and chortling at Homestuck^2. I also spent a lot of time playing in forum adventures and discussing stupid ass characters and their stupid ass proclivities for being stupid ass. I did this for one reason: I wanted the Homestuck Forums back. I used to roleplay on the og forums quite frequently before it got fucked and WP bungled up and didn't relaunch it. I made friends on there, friends I never saw again after the forums disappeared. Friends I always held out hope I would see again if I just kept in the fandom.
Never found them. C'est la vie.
I got into Homestuck in middle school. I was really into it, reading every release and talking with friends about the characters and theories. I'm 26 now and my thoughts about it are becoming increasingly rare. I don't keep up with Beyond Canon (I simply do not have the energy to watch new writers fumble characters I love- I had enough character fumbling when it was still just Hussie) and there are no other projects in the franchise I feel like latching onto.
This was the last place I kept in mind. The last bit of Homestuck in me, it feels. And even then, for the past few months I only ever kept checking in to see if people even still posted.
It's been only three days since my last post. 5-ish since the last post not made by me, and 6 days since the first non-bot post in what feels like weeks. That doesn't sound so bad, yes?
It's been about a month since any forum besides the Homestuck and Admin forums have been used. Even if me posting this brings back some semblance of activity, it is inevitable that this forum will die before 2026.
And I am saddened by that fact. But also content. 6 or so years isn't so bad for a modern forum's lifespan, yeah? It's only natural for a species to lose years off its life-expectancy after being outbred by stronger, faster, tougher creatures in the eco-system, and honestly forums' days were numbered once Facebook got big (I never liked it. Forums were always superior.)
So, it's fine. This place is dead. It will soon be completely overrun by bots (the maggots and flies of the internet space, here whenever a website dies or gets a nasty infection- just look at Twitter) and the moderators will stop remembering to look in this place's general direction. It was a good life. That's all that matters.
There is no Lorax message, btw. There is no "Unless." This place is done.
To anyone reading this, thank you for your time.

Re: Last Post Wins
The only thing you talk about in this forum is how much it's dead. Yeah, undoubtedly... So?
Go to a graveyard and point at some grave and say like "LOOK GUYS, IT'S FREAKING DEAD!" you're not some kinda of fossor saying cool pinterest phrases "maybe it's the last post guys... thanks for reading"
First. Nobody cares for your grow ass man melancholic words. Second. Nobody it's dumb enough to think they're going to revive a HOMESTUCK FORUM IN 2025 (????????).
You keep patrolling people's posts saying "look look, they're trying to revive the forum, forget that" "you're replaying a 12 years old post pufffff that's dumb". Brother in christ, you're annoying as shit. You keep saying this place is dead, but every month you place your butt here and keep being a shitlord on other people posts.
